Trisha's Bio
"Everything's just better with Trisha," neatly sums up the impact this supremely talented and adaptable Texas born-and-bred fiddler has had on the world class music scene in Austin, which she now calls home. Classically trained in the Suzuki method since age 4, Trisha's musical grounding was in a number of school, college and regional orchestras, but a desire to broaden her performance art in a more contemporary direction led her to "plug in," making her debut in 2005 with southern rockers Jason Boland and the Stragglers.
Since then, Trisha has added violin finesse - from the soulful to the on-fire - to music that falls across a wide musical landscape - including notable contributions to Dustin Welch's recent Tijuana Bible, and The Trishas' High, Wide & Handsome. She's also a regular with Shawn Nelson and The Ramblers, the Beckham Brothers, Graham Wilkinson, Honeydew Revue and Tuco. A busy girl indeed!
Other notable collaborations have seen her working with Ray Wylie Hubbard, Kacy Crowley, James Levy, Gina Chavez and Cooder Graw. She is also a proud contributor to the Voices of a Grateful Nation project - along with the likes of Ray Benson, Jeff Plankenhorn, Bukka and Sally Allen, Brian Standefer and Jamie Oldacker - which helps veterans suffering from traumatic brain injuries through an innovative music-based therapy.
On May 1st, 2012, she kicked off a side project with Joe Beckham called Emmylou.
